Paul Coenen (b. 1992) is a designer based in Eindhoven (NL) whose work embodies an experimental, hands-on approach that reflects his deep fascination with materials and a blend of both modern and traditional manufacturing techniques. With each project, Coenen seeks to unearth the inherent possibilities and limitations of his chosen materials, allowing them to guide and shape his creative process. His work is characterized by a straightforward, honest aesthetic, where the final form of each object is a direct consequence of the materials used and the techniques employed. This approach gives his creations a sense of authenticity and integrity, allowing the raw qualities of the materials to come to the forefront.
